Yolanda Payne

Yolanda is the Invention Education Fellow for Society for Science, a position created in partnership with Lemelson-MIT to increase access and awareness of invention education and research resources for K-12 audiences. A career educator, Yolanda has taught from kindergarten through college in schools around the Southeast. After participating in the National Summer Teacher Institute with the US Patent and Trademark Office in 2015, and securing a provisional patent, Yolanda began incorporating invention and creativity lessons into her work. Yolanda holds degrees in Elementary Education, Instructional Technology and Curriculum from Mississippi University for Women, Mississippi State University, University of Florida and the University of Georgia.
