Society for Science & the Public today announced that Broadcom Foundation extended its sponsorship of the Broadcom MASTERS (Math, Applied Science, Technology, Engineering, and Rising Stars) for an additional six years. The Broadcom Foundation has been the title sponsor of the Broadcom MASTERS since 2011.

Broadcom Foundation and Society for Science & the Public (SSP) today announced the top winners of the fifth annual Broadcom MASTERS® national STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) competition for sixth, seventh and eighth graders. Broadcom Foundation and SSP also announced first and second place winners in each of the STEM categories, Rising Stars, and a Team Award. 

Society for Science & the Public launched the Science News in High Schools program this week, as part of a larger commitment to create a more scientifically literate society. More than 170,000 students and 10,000 educators at 238 schools in 21 states and the United Kingdom will gain free access to content produced by Science News.
