The Intel International Science and Engineering Fair (Intel ISEF), a program of Society for Science & the Public, the world's largest international pre-college science competition, is coming to Pittsburgh!
The premier global science competition for students in grades 9–12 provides an annual forum for more than 1,500 high school students from 65 countries, regions, and territories to display their independent research.

More than 500 volunteers across a spectrum of activities are needed. Volunteer opportunities are available during the week in a range of shifts. We encourage you to explore all of the volunteer opportunities and experience Intel ISEF in your community.
Judges are needed in 17 scientific disciplines across the sciences. Judging will take place at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center starting on the afternoon of Tuesday, May 15 through Wednesday, May 16, 2012. Judges must have a Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent (D.O., Ed.D., D.D.S., D.V.M., etc.) OR a minimum of six years related professional experience beyond receiving their B.A., B.S., or Master’s degree.
Student teams from 65 countries, regions, and territories participate in Intel ISEF. Approximately 200 interpreters are needed to work with students in conversational or scientifically-informed interpretation. Greatest demand is for Spanish, Russian, and Mandarin, but there is need anticipated for over a dozen languages.

SSP has secured a sufficient number of hotel rooms at properties proximate to the David Lawrence Convention Center at reduced rates for the benefit of all Intel ISEF attendees. SSP now has a contractual obligation to fill these rooms; therefore, we strongly encourage you to book your rooms through the official Intel ISEF Housing web site.
