The Society for Science is thrilled to announce that the city of Dallas, Texas, will be hosting the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) 2023. The week-long event will be taking place from May 13-19, 2023.

Albuquerque Academy 9th grader, Akilan Sankaran loves walking the halls and beautiful campus of his school in Albuquerque, New Mexico, a place that he says has afforded him many opportunities to learn about new concepts and ideas. One of the disciplines Akilan enjoys most is mathematics. He also loves physics and space science, and one day hopes to be an astrophysicist.

Notable Alumni: George Yancopoulos competed in the 1976 STS. Dr. Yancopoulos is currently President, Chief Scientific Officer and Co-Chair of Regeneron’s Board of Directors. He co-founded the biotechnology company with fellow STS alumnus Leonard Schleifer, and together they developed the ability to consistently translate science into medicine.

Regeneron ISEF 2024 will take place in Los Angeles, CA at the Los Angeles Convention Center from May 11-17, 2024. Regeneron ISEF 2024 is an in-person event with all finalists competing in-person. The in-person event will be complemented by a virtual site where finalist will share their project materials
