“Vibrasoles” keep seniors from falling

When Troy, Michigan seventh grader, Prabhath Inturi, heard that his friend’s grandfather had a serious falling accident while walking to a restaurant with their family, he began investigating the frequency and consequences of these kinds of accidents. His friend’s grandfather had sustained serious injuries as a result of the fall and couldn’t walk for weeks.

STEM Research Grant Recipient Resources

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Society for Science offered more than 100 teachers $1,000 each to select from a variety of take-home kits to support students in completing independent science research projects. We have assembled a variety of resources for recipients based on each kit. We hope that with these resources and advice from our alumni, your students will learn the principles of coding, begin investigations into water quality, or play paparazzi for some backyard wildlife.
