Society CEO releases children's book

March 8, 2016

Maya Ajmera, president and CEO of Society for Science & the Public and publisher of Science News, today released her new children’s book, Every Breath We Take: A Book About Air. Co-written by Dominique Browning and released in conjunction with the Moms Cleanbook cover Every Breath We Take Air Force (which will receive a portion of the proceeds), it features photos of children exploring air through their senses and touches on the importance of clean air to all living things.

“The world is dependent on science,” said Maya Ajmera. “Exposing children in an age-appropriate way to the idea that science is all around us and affects our lives can only serve to make them more interested in STEM and help us create a more scientifically literate population. Hopefully we’ll see a lot of these children participating in science fairs and the Society’s educational competitions as they grow up.”
