Amy Chyao Wins World’s Largest Pre-College Science Competition for Developing Cutting-Edge Cancer Treatment

The Intel International Science and Engineering Fair, a program of Society for Science & the Public, announced its top winners in San Jose, Calif. Amy Chyao of Richardson, Texas, received the first-place Gordon E. Moore Award, a $75,000 prize in honor of the Intel co-founder and retired chairman and CEO.  Two additional top winners – Kevin Ellis of Vancouver, Wash. and Yale Fan, of Beaverton, Ore. – each received prizes of $50,000 from the Intel Foundation.
