About John Capodilupo
At the 2010 STS, John Capodilupo computed detailed statistics on the clustering of galaxies, which earned him top 10 winner distinction. In 2012, Capodilupo left Harvard as a sophomore to co-found WHOOP, a wearable technology company. As Chief Technology Officer, he played a key role in developing the technology behind the device. After leaving WHOOP, Capodilupo co-founded Throne, a pioneering gut health and hydration technology start-up, for which Capodilupo is Chief Product Officer. In 2025, Capodilupo spoke with Society President & CEO Maya Ajmera about the company as part of the Society’s Tech Series.
