Society for Science names Christopher Bouton to its Board of Trustees

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Society for Science is pleased to announce that Christopher Bouton has joined the Society’s Board of Trustees. “I am thrilled to welcome Christopher Bouton to the Society for Science’s Board of Trustees,” said Maya Ajmera, President & CEO, Society for Science and Executive Publisher, Science News. “As a recent member of our National Leadership Council and alumnus of the Science Talent Search, Chris shares our passion for promoting access to STEM education and remains dedicated to the Society’s mission.”

Bouton is Senior Vice President and Head of Artificial Intelligence at Certara, a global leader in biosimulation providing innovative software and services to global pharmaceutical and biotech companies. Prior to Certara, Bouton was the Founder & CEO of Vyasa Analytics (acquired by Certara in 2023), an AI analytics company applying novel deep learning approaches across the drug discovery pipeline. Bouton also previously founded Entagen, a software company that provided innovative life sciences data integration products, which was acquired by Thomson Reuters in 2013. Before founding Entagen and Vyasa, Bouton was the Head of Integrative Data Mining & Computational Biology at Pfizer.

He is an author on numerous scientific papers and book chapters, and his work has been covered in a wide range of industry news articles. He received his undergraduate degree in Neuroscience from Amherst College and Ph.D. in Molecular Neurobiology from Johns Hopkins University.
