Charles H. Bennett
A physicist specializing in quantum cryptography, Charles H. Bennett is considered one of the founding fathers of quantum information theory. After participating in the 1960 STS, Bennett earned his Ph.D. in chemical physics at Harvard before beginning his lifelong career at IBM Research. Bennett has received numerous awards for his contributions to the fields of physics and quantum information, including the Breakthrough Prize for Fundamental Physics, the Wolf Prize in Physics, and the Claude E. Shannon Award.
Bennett is an alumnus of the 1960 Science Talent Search.
