Afton Vechery is Co-founder of Modern Fertility, which is now a part of Ro, where Afton is President of Women’s Health. Modern Fertility makes personalized fertility information and support much more accessible to women everywhere, so women can own the decisions impacting their bodies and futures — whatever these decisions may be. The company provides at-home tests and digital tools to help women to check in on fertility and be proactive about reproductive health, whether they’re trying for kids or not. Modern Fertility is building the vertically-integrated platform for women to have more power over every step of their health journeys. Prior to Modern Fertility, Afton led strategy and operation at various healthtech startups, and was most recently a product leader at 23andMe. Afton has been named to Fortune’s 40 Under 40 List, Inc’s Female Founders on 2022 list, Inc’s 30 Under 30 list and Forbes’ 30 Under 30 List. Modern Fertility has been named one of Fast Company’s Most Innovative Companies of the year and one of CNBC’s Most Promising Startups to Watch.
Vechery is an alumna of the 2007 Science Talent Search and 2005 International Science and Engineering Fair.
She joined the Society’s Board of Trustees in 2022.
