Broadcom Foundation and the Society for Science & the Public invite groups to attend the Broadcom MASTERS Science and Engineering Project Showcase on Saturday, October 20, 2018 from 1:00pm- 4:00pm. The public is encouraged to come and meet the top 30 Broadcom MASTERS finalists, learn all about their projects, and interact with science organizations. These talented 6th, 7th, and 8th grade finalists are eager to share their enthusiasm for science and engineering with other students!

We are pleased to offer funding for group transportation to and from the event and funding for group lunches. Additionally, groups who register will be given a $150 gift card to be put towards the purchase of lab equipment for student science projects.

In order to qualify for funding, groups must:

  • Consist of 10 or more elementary and/or middle school students
  • Be a formally established group through a non-profit organization or school (school club, scout troop, etc.)
  • Be able to provide their own chaperones (1 adult per 8 students recommended)
  • Have the proper permissions in place to transport and supervise children
  • Make their own arrangements for transportation and lunch (will be reimbursed)

Please fill out this form to request funds!

The Society will determine the size of the donation based on distance traveled, mode of transportation, and the number of students expected to attend. Funds will be prioritized for groups demonstrating need. Reimbursements will only be made to schools or non-profits, not individuals, after the event has taken place. Groups must check in with the Society for Science & the Public desk during the event to provide proof of attendance.
