Today is Give to Science Day 2015
Celebrate the Society’s many accomplishments in 2015 on Give to Science Day by making a tax-deductible donation of $20.15 (or more!) to help us continue to inform, educate and inspire.
Each year, the Society celebrates Give to Science Day to secure support for our mission: to promote the understanding and appreciation of science and the vital role it plays in human advancement. In the past four years, we have raised close to $30,000 during this annual, 24-hour fundraising effort. Your support is an important investment in our work and part of why we are able to deliver so much in our efforts to engage the public with science.
We rely on your support to deliver award-winning journalism through our Science News family of publications and to continue to build the impact of our renowned competitions and educational programs. Over the course of this exciting year, the Society:
- Published more than 1,000 articles in Science News, providing concise, current and comprehensive coverage of major scientific research and discoveries.
- Piloted Science News in High Schools, giving more than 170,000 students access to our award-winning publication.
- Reached an agreement to produce 4 e-book collections of Science News.
In addition to donations, we’re compiling photographs of how members of our community give back to science — whether that’s by teaching, doing research, performing experiments, inventing new things, participating in or supporting science fairs, mentoring young scientists, or even just looking at the world with a scientific gaze.
You can get involved by donating to our Give to Science Day fundraising effort, submitting photos of your own to email@example.com, or posting on social media using the hashtag #Give2Science.
