It has been a busy summer at SSP, as we have worked to advance “SSP 2.0” – a broad new vision for the organization developed over the past two years and focused on improving how we fulfill our mission of advancing scientific knowledge. 
 
Central to this vision is our new web presence, which better integrates our competitions and educational programming with our Science News family of publications.

SSP’s Successful Kickstarter Campaign Helps Support Scientific Stories on Antarctica

On November 30, Society for Science & the Public launched our first fundraising drive through Kickstarter. Kickstarter is an all or nothing, limited-time funding platform that raises money to support a specific project.

Science News Prime, published by Society for Science & the Public,  celebrated its first anniversary in June with an edition featuring stories on giant insects, paralyzed rats able to walk again, and an alien hunter's new crusade.
