Society for Science Lead Advocates help students harness STEM resources and participate in science research programs. As a Lead Advocate, educators receive a stipend and support for providing STEM opportunities. Apply to be in the Advocate Program today!

The top 300 Regeneron Science Talent Search scholars attended a virtual event to learn more about the competition and each other’s research projects. Scholars also asked Maya Ajmera and George Yancopoulos about finding success in STEM.

The 2022-2023 STEM Research Grant recipients hail from 24 states and the U.S. commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands. Priority consideration is given to educators who serve students from low-income communities, including students of underrepresented and underserved backgrounds. All recipients teach at the middle and/or high school levels and the majority of this year’s cohort are based at public, Title 1 schools. About 90% of the students served are from low-income communities and 76% are from underrepresented groups, including American Indian, Alaska Native, Black and Latinx demographics.

The 2023 Regeneron STS top 40 finalists not only love STEM, but they’ve traveled to dozens of countries, taken up wood working and even save lives. We can’t wait to meet these finalists in March in Washington, DC.
