Nebiat Kassahun

Society Staff: Nebiat Kassahun is an IT Project Manager at Society for Science. Before joining the Society, Nebiat has been working extensively at the commercial space and has a fairly short Federal contracting experience. Nebiat has a master’s degree in information system and is also PMP (Project Management Professional) Certified.

2024-2025 Science News Learning Ambassadors

The Science News Learning Ambassadors are educators from across the country who have been inspiring their middle and high school science students with Science News journalism for years! They are Science News Learning expert teachers who want to share their love of teaching science literacy using current, real-life examples with others throughout the school year. Ambassadors partner with program staff to give meaningful feedback and develop new, creative lesson plans using Science News Learning resources and solutions for their own classrooms.

Protecting oysters in the Puget Sound: from classroom curiosity to real-world impact

Milo and Isabella were honored with the Lemelson Early Inventor Prize at the Discovery Regional Science and Engineering Fair for a project they conducted in seventh grade, which was their second year spent researching oyster cages.
