Jinger Zhao

Jinger Zhao joined Two Sigma in January 2007 and most recently served as head of APAC Strategies before departing the firm in 2025 to explore entrepreneurial opportunities. In that role, Zhao was responsible for developing the firm’s China and broader APAC investment capabilities across asset classes, locations and advisors. Previously, Zhao held region portfolio management responsibilities for Asia and China strategies. Prior to joining the firm, she was an Investment Analyst at QVT Financial where Zhao identified and implemented statistical and valuation-based strategies in futures and equities. Prior to that, she was a Software Engineer at Endeca Technologies and also worked on the design and development of software products at Microsoft and ICLUBcentral. Zhao earned a bachelor’s degree in computer science and a certificate in Mind/Brain/Behavior from Harvard University (magna cum laude).
Zhao joined the Society’s Board of Trustees in 2025.
