Emily Eberhardt

Emily Eberhardt (she/her) is a Grant Writer at Society for Science, where she focuses on strategic funding opportunities for Science News Media Group.

Emily’s passion for science blossomed when she participated in the Louisiana State Science Fair in 2009, placing third in her Junior Division category. ­Since then, Emily has performed research in variety of research areas, but she holds her appreciation for mitochondrial biochemistry closest to her heart. Before joining the Society, Emily was an academic researcher at the University of Michigan, where she worked in translational research as a Research Area Specialist and Postdoctoral Research Fellow.

Emily received her B.S. in Microbiology from the University of Wisconsin at Madison and ­h­­­­­er Ph.D. in Cellular and Molecular Biology from the University of Michigan.
