Hear What Judges Have to Say About Intel ISEF
The Intel International Science and Engineering Fair (Intel ISEF) is the world’s largest international pre-college science competition. More than 1,000 judges are needed in order to review projects from the more than 1,600 finalists who will travel from around the world to compete at Intel ISEF in Los Angeles this May.
Why should you volunteer to be a judge? Because you can make a difference. “Student finalists confirm year after year that the opportunity to interview with professionals in the field of their project is the most important and rewarding element of attending Intel ISEF,” Michele Glidden, the Society’s Director of Science Education Programs, explains. We are pleased to share a few responses from past judges who echo the value they find in being part of this exchange:

Judging will take place at the Los Angeles Convention Center starting on the afternoon of Tuesday, May 13 through Wednesday, May 14, 2014.
A Grand Award Judge must have a minimum of six years related professional experience beyond receiving their B.A., B.S., or Master’s degree OR a Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent (D.O., Ed.D., D.D.S., D.V.M., etc.). Judges are needed for 17 different categories.
