AHA MOMENT!

“Aha Moments”: that feeling when you make a connection, or when you understand something from a new perspective, and you say to yourself “this is important”.

Society for Science, publisher of Science News, has been creating ‘aha moments’ since 1921—engaging readers, tinkerers and students by bringing science to everyone.

  • We spark curiosity in students with access to Science News and Science News Explores, encouraging them to explore STEM.
  • We equip educators with the classroom resources they need to get students excited to explore, experiment, and create their first science fair project.
  • We celebrate middle and high school students as they pursue solutions to the world’s most pressing challenges and compete in science fairs.

Members of Society for Science have “aha moments” like these:

  • “Society for Science supports my ideals that science and young people dedicated to science are the future of society and the world. You are a strong agent for encouraging and supporting young people who have an interest and dedication to science and making the world a better place through science.”  – David
  • “Your work to support science education is extremely important. As a college professor I strive to instill the love of science in science and nonscience majors alike. I believe that the work undertaken by Society for Science aligns well with my philosophy that every citizen needs to be science-literate…”  – James
  • “I love how well Science News communicates about many varied fields of science… in a trustworthy but not demanding fashion. This helps those of us who want to be scientifically literate stay up to date.”  – Rebecca
