2026 STEM Action Grants

Society for Science is proud to announce the recipients of its 2026 STEM Action Grants. Through this program, the Society is driving meaningful change and growth—whether by expanding access to STEM education, supporting rigorous scientific research and nurturing the next generation of scientific leaders. The program aims to bolster and support mission-driven nonprofit organizations that are working to increase scientific understanding by expanding opportunities for their local communities to engage and participate in STEM.

This year, $295,000 will be awarded across 61 organizations, representing 31 states, Washington D.C. and Puerto Rico. Funding for this year’s STEM Action Grants program comes from Simons Foundation International (with administrative support from the Simons Foundation’s Science, Society & Culture division), Regeneron and The Eli and Edythe Broad Foundation. Since its launch in 2016, the Society has awarded $1,715,000 in STEM Action Grants to 193 impactful organizations across the nation.
