2022 Society for Science Annual Report – Outreach & Equity

During Education Outreach Day at Regeneron ISEF 2024, approximately 3,271 students from 56 schools throughout the Los Angeles region visited the Los Angeles Convention Center to get up close and personal with the exciting STEM research conducted by students all over the world. Education Outreach Day was a unique opportunity for these students to not only learn about the vast opportunities for STEM regionally, but also to learn how they could participate in science fairs in the future.

Middle school students across the nation were invited to apply for the Thermo Fisher Scientific Junior Innovators Challenge (JIC) after placing among the top 10% of participants at their Society-affiliated science fairs. Congratulations nominees for the 2024 competition!

Society for Science expects students competing in all of our STEM research competitions — the Regeneron Science Talent Search, Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair and Thermo Fisher Scientific Junior Innovators Challenge – as well as our affiliated science fair network to hold themselves to the highest ethical standards. Scientific integrity is central to the credibility, reliability and progress of science.
