Society for Science welcomes two new members to the National Leadership Council

April 2024: Society for Science is pleased to announce that Lester Mackey and Naomi Shah have joined the Society’s National Leadership Council (NLC). Formed in 2018, the NLC comprises alumni from the Society’s three science competitions: the Science Talent Search, the International Science and Engineering Fair and its middle school science research competitions.

Learn about the Great American Eclipse with Society for Science

On April 8, 2024 people in Canada, Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Missouri, Illinois, Kentucky, Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York, Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine, along with small parts of Tennessee and Michigan will experience a total solar eclipse. This impressive phenomenon occurs when the moon completely blocks the sun, darkening the sky for several minutes.
