Meredith Lee

Meredith Lee is the Chief Technical Advisor for University of California, Berkeley Computing, Data Science, and Society, a new organization transforming research and education in areas such as health and medicine, climate and sustainability, and human welfare and social justice. Meredith was previously Founding Executive Director of the National Science Foundation West Big Data Innovation Hub, launching public-private partnerships spanning transportation, natural resources, health, economic development and open science. Under the Obama Administration, Meredith led the White House Innovation for Disaster Response & Recovery Initiative and guided strategic data science research programs. She earned a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University and is an alumna of the AAAS Science & Technology Policy Fellowship program and the Hasso Plattner Institute of Design.

Meredith is an alumnus of the International Science and Engineering Fair 2000.
