David Bray

David Bray is Inaugural Director of the Atlantic Council’s GeoTech Center and Executive Director for the Commission on the Geopolitical Impacts of New Technologies and Data. He has served in a variety of leadership roles in turbulent environments, including bioterrorism preparedness and response from 2000-2005, work and collaborations in Afghanistan, Executive Director for a bipartisan National Commission on R&D, a non-partisan Senior Executive leading digital transformation in government from 2013-2017, and as Executive Director for the People-Centered Internet coalition chaired by Internet co-creator Vint Cerf from 2017-2020. David guest lectures at Oxford, Singularity, and Harvard Universities and was named top “24 Americans Who Are Changing the World” by Business Insider in 2016. He holds a MSPH and a Ph.D. from Emory University and completed two post-docs at Harvard and MIT.

David is an alumnus of the Science Talent Search 1996, and the International Science and Engineering Fair 1993-1995.
