Gabi Freckmann joined the Society for Science in October 2021, and is the Thermo Fisher Junior Innovators Challenge Associate Specialist. Working at the Society has allowed Gabi to combine her passion for scientific research and working with students. In 2018, she earned her B.A. from the University of Virginia with a double major in Environmental Sciences and Spanish. Previously, she worked as a researcher for environmental non-profits and for an educational travel company planning international experiences for middle and high school students. Gabi is inspired by the young innovators who compete in the Society’s educational programs and hopes to provide opportunities that inspire them as well.
