Adam Bly

Adam Bly is the Founder & CEO of System, a new Public Benefit Corporation reinventing how we organize and discover data and knowledge. He recently led data at Spotify following their acquisition of Seed Scientific, the data science company he founded. A devoted advocate of science, Bly was named a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum, a Visiting Senior Fellow in Science, Technology & Society at Harvard Kennedy School, and he has been an advisor at the United Nations. He began his career at the National Research Council Canada and left the lab to launch the popular science magazine, Seed. For his efforts to advance the public’s understanding of science, Bly was awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Golden Jubilee Medal. In his youth, Bly competed in over 20 science fairs and won Best of Category in Biochemistry at Intel ISEF 1998. Born in Montreal, Bly attended McGill University.
Bly is an alumnus of the 1998 International Science and Engineering Fair.
He joined the Society’s Board of Trustees in 2020.
