Jennifer Yruegas is a General Counsel at Coaxis, Inc., a vertical-market, software-development and management company. Yruegas has also provided strategic legal services to start-up and mid-size high growth companies through JY Consultants, her own firm. She previously worked for Nike, Inc. focusing on intellectual property issues, managing two significant divestures, and providing general legal services as Assistant General Counsel to the Nike Affiliate group.
Yruegas has also served as General Counsel and Senior Director of Worldwide Legal Affairs and International Trade at InFocus Corporation. During the last three years of her tenure at InFocus, she served as the CEO of Motif (a multi-million dollar licensing entity of Motorola and InFocus).
She has a BS in Biology and BA in Literature from Pacific University, a JD from Lewis and Clark Law School, and completed the Executive Program at Portland State University School of Business. Yruegas has also served as a Board Member for the Children’s Cancer Association. She was named one of the Top 7 Attorneys in the US Under 40 by the Hispanic National Bar and a Forty Under Forty Winner by the Portland Business Journal.
