Andrew Grant wins AGU Perlman award

Science News writer Andrew Grant won the 2014 David Perlman Award for Excellence in Science Journalism from the American Geophysical Union for his Science News story on Voyager 1. Individuals were recognized for their breakthrough achievements in advancing Earth and space science and their outstanding contributions and service to the scientific community. Read More

Broadcom MASTERS

Record number of Broadcom MASTERS applications received

Broadcom and SSP received a record number of applicants for the 2014 Broadcom MASTERS. A total of 2,045 completed applications from 46 states and 2 territories were received; an increase of more than 300 applicants from last year! Applicants must have placed in the top 10% of their local Society-affiliated science fairs to be nominated, and will each receive a Broadcom MASTERS t-shirt. In addition, 300 semifinalists will be announced on September 3 and 30 finalists will be announced on September 17. Congratulations to all of this year’s applicants!
