Science News, the award-winning magazine covering all fields of science for a general readership, is now accepting applications for a publishing internship.
Based in Washington, D.C., Science News reports scientific findings and trends occurring worldwide for our bi-weekly print magazine, our daily news website and for Science News for Students, an online magazine for 5th through 9th grade students. The publishing intern will work with the Science News business and editorial teams to draft a business plan for a new monthly print magazine.
The publishing intern will work on financial modeling, product development and marketing strategy in the pre-launch phase of the project.
The internship is intended for graduate students or recent graduates planning business careers in the publishing industry. Those with a background/education in media, publishing or journalism with a business focus are particularly encouraged to apply. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States. This internship is for 12 weeks at 35 hours per week and includes a competitive stipend.
