How to Help
Society for Science & the Public seeks a dynamic and self-motivated development professional to work with a vibrant development team to support our fundraising efforts from individuals and institutions, build the major gift pipeline, research donors and prospects, assist with prospect management, steward donor relationships, and report to donors on the impact of their giving.
The Donor Relations Specialist is a key part of a fast-paced office of seasoned development professionals, advancing an organization that excels in cutting-edge science journalism and science competition experiences for middle school and high school students around the world.
Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree and at least three years of experience working in a fundraising environment.
This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday (37.5 hours per week). The ability to travel occasionally is necessary. Our office is located near Dupont Circle.
This position reports to the Director of Annual Giving and Membership and will have interactions and assignments from the Director of Institutional Giving, Director of Major Gifts, and Chief Advancement Officer.
