What We Do
How to Help
The Society is participating in Do More 24, a 24-hour fundraising effort on Thursday, June 19. Do More 24 is a movement led by the United Way of the National Capital Region that brings together nonprofit organizations, companies, and people committed to making a difference. Help support science by donating on Thursday!
With a donation of $24, the Society could operate our student web service, Science News for Students - including creating and delivering our award-winning content - for 25 minutes. The Society's Student Science website and free e-publication Science News for Students deliver articles on scientific discoveries and other free science education resources to more than three million students, parents, and teachers each year.
