All the Intel Science Talent Search 2011 applications are now in! This year, 1,744 seniors in high school from across the country are vying to be named as one of the 300 semifinalists in the nation’s most prestigious science research competition for high school seniors. Of those 300, 40 finalists will be selected to visit Washington, D.C. in March to be counted among America’s best and brightest and to compete for the top award of $100,000!
The projects cover a wide array of subjects. A breakdown of the entrants by project category is below.
We recently caught up with Lina A. Colucci, an alumna of the Science Talent Search (STS 2008).
Michelle Young (Intel STS 2000) founded a magazine that helps people better explore New York City.
