Give to Science Day 2015 Results

November 13, 2015

The results of Give to Science Day 2015 are in! This year, the Society received its highest number of donations — $14,834 from 250 donors. The average gift was $59.

Thank you for helping us to continue supporting science. The Society couldn't achieve its mission to inform, educate and inspire without your support.

Each year, the Society celebrates Give to Science Day to secure support for our mission: to promote the understanding and appreciation of science and the vital role it plays in human advancement. In the past four years, we have raised close to $30,000 during this annual, 24-hour fundraising effort. Your support is an important investment in our work and part of why we are able to deliver so much in our efforts to engage the public with science.

We're still compiling photographs of how members of our community give back to science — whether that’s by teaching, doing research, performing experiments, inventing new things, participating in or supporting science fairs, mentoring young scientists, or even just looking at the world with a scientific gaze.

You can get involved by submitting photos of your own to ssp@societyforscience.org, or posting on social media using the hashtag #Give2Science.
