August Steigmeyer, currently pursuing a Master's Degree in Conservation Ecology at the University of Michigan, is an alumnus of Intel ISEF 2007, Intel ISEF 2008, and the 2001 Discovery Channel Young Scientist Challenge. Steigmeyer competed in 13 years of science fairs, culminating in his two years at Intel ISEF. In 2008, he won a Fourth Award in Environmental Sciences.
Chris Gould is the Judging Chair of the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair 2014, being held May 11-16 in Los Angeles, CA. Judges, volunteers, and interpreters are still needed to support the fair.
Carolin Lachner from Loerrach, Baden-Wurttemberg, Germany won a Second Award in Physics and Astronomy at the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair (Intel ISEF) 2012. Carolin, now studying electrical engineering at the Technical University of Munich, is also now handling communication affairs for the recently formed European Intel ISEF Alumni Network.
Milena Acosta is the Co-Chair of the Los Angeles Local Arrangements Committee (LAC). The LAC helps recruit judges and volunteers for the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair (Intel ISEF). Milena is particularly involved in activities related to the Education Outreach Program, where local students and teachers get a chance to meet Intel ISEF finalists and participate in activities specifically designed with them in mind.
