Rachel Goldman Alper has been the Director of Development at the Society since March 2015.
She has her A.B. from the University of Chicago and her Masters of Science in Teaching from Pace University. Rachel most recently worked as the Director of Strategic Alliances with the Maker Education Initiative (Maker Ed) where she developed strategy and partnerships and diversified funding streams for the organization. She also previously worked for The Posse Foundation, D.C. Public Schools, ePals, and as a 6th grade teacher in the South Bronx. Rachel is passionate about making sure that all young people have incredible learning opportunities that include science education.
