Aparna Paul is the Society's Communications Manager. Aparna was previously at the Society for Neuroscience, where she was a Media Relations & Communications Associate. Previously, she was the Assistant to the Editor of the Journal of Neuroscience. She has a background in media relations and communications from a number of nonprofits, including the Society for Neuroscience; Journal of Neuroscience; Anna Schuleit, Artist & MacArthur fellow, and Kortenhaus Communications, a boutique PR firm in Boston. Her work has resulted in placements in national media outlets like ABC News, Kansas City Star, The New York Times, The Washington Post, East Bay Times, NPR, Stat, and many more.
She obtained her B.A. in English from Bryant College with a full academic scholarship and focused her studies on a science curriculum at The University of Pennsylvania. Outside of work Aparna enjoys painting, meditation, and independent films.
