2001 Semifinalists

The Semifinalists of the 60th Intel® Science Talent Search were chosen from among 1,592 entrants and represent 166 high schools in 36 states and the District of Columbia. Three hundred Semifinalists and their schools will receive matching awards of $1,000.

From this group of 300 Semifinalists, 40 Finalists were chosen to attend the Science Talent Institute in Washington, D.C. from March 7 through 12, 2001. During their trip to Washington, the Finalists participated in a final judging process and shared in $530,000 in scholarships.
