SSP is planning a full day of programming for student observers to be held on Wednesday, May 15 from 8:30-3:00 p.m. (with an hour break for lunch with your fair). The day will provide hands-on science activities for the 200 student observers from Intel ISEF-affiliate fairs and will provide an opportunity to interact and get to know this group of students. This program takes place while finalists are involved in judging.
We encourage all student observers to sign-up for this programming. The eligibility rules:
The program will include three key activities:
Additionally, in a role that Student Observers have previously held and been of great support, SSP would like to invite you to help facilitate Education Outreach activities on Thursday, May 16th, 2013. The full day will be from 8:15 to 2:00 p.m. through 2:00 p.m. Student observers will have the opportunity to support the program all day or to take a 3-hour shift (8:15–11:15 or 11:00-2:00 pm) that will allow them time to visit the exhibit hall as well as volunteer. A very important aspect of your role as a volunteer will be to share your excitement for science and help students understand how they, too, could participate in Intel ISEF one day. Meeting a fellow student and hearing about your Intel ISEF experience may well be one of the most effective and exciting parts of the visiting students’ trip.
Please complete the online form to sign-up by the April 12, 2013 deadline to be registered for the Student Observer Caucus and/or as a Volunteer for the Intel ISEF Education Outreach Day.
