To participate in the Intel ISEF, millions of students worldwide must undergo at least one level of competition by participating in a state, regional, or national science fair that is affiliated with the Intel ISEF. The Intel ISEF unites these top young scientific minds, showcasing their talent on an international stage, enabling them to submit their work to judging by doctoral level scientists—and providing the opportunity to compete for more than $3 million in prizes and scholarships.

Participating in a science fair can be a very rewarding experience. It is the culmination of conducting an independent research project and provides valuable feedback as you continue your scientific pursuits. However, careful planning and consideration of the rules to ensure the safety of the student researcher and any research subjects is critical to this success.
