Intel ISEF 2013 Public Outreach Day: May 16, 2013 in Phoenix, Arizona

The Intel® International Science and Engineering Fair® (Intel ISEF), a program of Society for Science & the Public (SSP), is the world’s largest international pre-college science competition and is coming to Phoenix.

The premier global science competition provides the forum for over 1,500 high school students from more than 70 countries, regions, and territories to display their independent research. Please join the Intel ISEF 2013 finalists on Thursday, May 16, as they display and present their research at the Phoenix Convention Center.

Local students discuss research with an Intel ISEF Finalist at Public Outreach Day.

SSP, Intel, and the Phoenix Local Arrangements Committee invite middle and high schools in Arizona (grades 6-12) to visit the Intel ISEF Public Outreach Day on Thursday, May 16, 2013 for a hands-on, interactive day celebrating science. 

  • Open to the public from 9:00am to 9:00pm
  • Open to school groups from 8:00am to 3:30pm

Intel ISEF Finalist Hall

School groups are invited to visit the Intel ISEF Finalist Hall, where they will meet the finalists and learn more about their independent research in 17 STEM fields.  Local students will have the opportunity to learn about groundbreaking research performed by their peers from around the world.

Intel ISEF Forensic Science Challenge

Dust for fingerprints, analyze foot impressions, and study blood spatter to solve a murder mystery in this one hour, hands-on forensic science experience. Students will use science and deductive reasoning to eliminate suspects. This is a great interactive project with a large dose of science, math, analysis, and fun.  Curriculum developed with the National Museum of Crime and Punishment.

Intel ISEF STEM Education and Career Expo
